8 tb Vegetabke iuk
2 lg Peeled potatoes -- cut into
Matchsticks
1 md Onion -- thinly sliced
2 Cloves garlic -- minced
10 oz Sirloin steak -- cut into
Thin slices
2 ts Cornstarch
3 ts Water
1 ts Sugar
2 ts Nuoc Mam sauce
OR light soy sauce
1. Pour 6 tablespoons oil into a skillet. Add the potatoes and fry
until brown. Discard the oil and set aside the potatoes. 2. Fry the
onion and garlic in 2 tablespoons oild. Add the beef and stir-fry
for 1 minute. 3. Mix the cornstarch, water, sugar, and Nuoc Mam sauce
to a smooth paste. Add this to the beef and stir. Add the potatoes
and stir well to combine.
