-------------------------MEATBALLS------------------------------
1 lb Ground beef or lamb 1 tb Chopped parsley
1 ts Salt Cumin
1/4 ts Pepper 2 ts Paprika
2 tb Dried onions
---------------------------SAUCE--------------------------------
1 1/2 c Water or stewed tomatoes Cayenne
3 tb Sweet butter Salt
1/2 c Dried mashed onions 1/4 ts Cumin
3/4 ts Ginger 1 ts Paprika
1/4 ts Pepper 1/2 c Chopped parsley
1/4 ts Turmeric 1 Lemon juice
1 pn Saffron
Mix all of the ingredients for the meat. Knead well and form into 1"
balls. SAUCE: Place all ingredients in a skillet except lemon. Add 1
1/2 cup water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat cover and simmer for
15 minutes. Add meatballs and simmer for 30 minutes. Add lemon juice
and serve at once on heated platter with lots of Moroccan bread. Stan
