4 Pork loin chops; 1" thick 2 md Green peppers; cut into thin
Salt; to taste -strips
Pepper; to taste 16 oz Tomato sauce
1 tb Oil, vegetable 1/4 ts Oregano, whole; or basil
1/2 lb Mushrooms, fresh; sliced 1 tb Lemon juice
1 md Onion; chopped 1/4 c Sherry, dry
1 sm Garlic clove; crushed
Sprinkle pork chops with salt and pepper; brown on both sides in hot
oil. Place chops in a shallow 2-quart baking dish; cover with
mushrooms, and set aside.
Add onion, garlic, and green pepper to skillet; cook until tender. Add
remaining ingredients, and simmer 5 minutes; pour over chops. Bake at
350 degrees for 1 hour or until chops are done.
