1/2 c Softened butter or margarine 1/2 t Baking powder
2/3 c Brown sugar 1 t Cinnamon
1 T Molasses 1/4 t Nutmeg
1/2 c Water Preheat oven to 350 degrees
2 3/4 c Whole wheat flour -F.
1/2 t Salt
Cream together butter, sugar, and molasses in a large bowl. Add the
remaining ingredients and stir until mixed well. Lightly cover bowl
with towel and let sit for 30 for 45 minutes. Turn out the dough onto
a floured surface. With a floured rolling pin, roll the dough out
tto about a 1/8-inch thickness. Cut into long rectangles or squares
(or any other shape that suits your fancy - you can use cookie
cutters). Place on a greased cookie sheet and bake in a 350 degree F
oven for 20 minutes or until lightly browned.
