Cooking Preparation of the Recipe:

1 c (2 sticks) butter
1 c Sugar
2 Egg yolks
1 ts Vanilla
2 c Sifted all-purpose flour
1/4 ts Salt
2 Egg whites, slightly beaten
1 3/4 c Finely chopped pecans

--------------------------FROSTING-------------------------------
2 c Confectioners sugar
2 tb Butter, softened
1 ts Vanilla
2 tb Hot water
Green food color

Bake in 350 for 15-18 minutes or until lightly browned around edges;
remove to wire rack to cool. To prepare frosting: in a small mixing
bowl combine sugar, butter and vanilla. Gradually add water and food
color for desired color and beat until mixture is smooth and holds
shape slightly. Using teaspoon drop frosting into centers of cookies.
Makes 4-5 dozen.
