1 ts Salt
1/4 ts Pepper
4 lb (about) beef pot roast
3 tb Shortening
2 cl Garlic; finely minced
1/3 c Bell pepper; chopped
1/2 c Onion; chopped
1 sm Can chopped mushrooms; with
-liquid
10 1/2 cn Tomato soup
Combine flour, salt, and pepper; coat both sides of roast. Brown
in hot shortening in Dutch oven. Add remaining ingredients. Cover;
simmer over low heat 2 hours or until tender.
