Cooking Preparation of the Recipe:

3/4 c Baking cocoa 1 1/3 c All-purpose flour
1/2 ts Baking soda 1 ts Vanilla extract
2/3 c Butter or margarine -- 1/4 ts Salt
Melted divided 1/2 c Coarsely chopped pecans
1/2 c Boiling water 2 c Semisweet chocolate chunks
2 c Sugar -12 oz
2 Eggs

In a large bowl, combine cocoa and baking soda; blend in 1/3 cup
melted butter. Add boiling water; stir until well blended. Stir in
sugar, eggs and remaining butter. Add flour, vanilla and salt. Stir
in the pecans and chocolate chunks. Pour into a greased 13-in. x
9-in. x 2in. baking pan. Bake at 350 deg. for 35-40 minutes or until
brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan. Cool, Yield: 3 dozen
