Cooking Preparation of the Recipe:
2 c Flour 1 c Milk
1 tb Baking powder 2 tb Bacon fat or butter; melted
1 tb Sugar 3 sl Bacon; cooked, finely
1/2 ts Salt -chopped
1 Egg 4 tb Peanut butter; approx.
Yield: 12 muffins
Mix thoroughly flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. In a
medium-size bowl beat the egg; add milk, melted fat, and chopped
bacon. Stir in the flour mixture, but do not beat; mixture should be
just moistened. Pour a little batter into each well-greased muffin
tin, then drop in about 1/3 teaspoon of peanut butter before filling
tins 3/4 full. Bake in a preheated 400 F oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
