Cooking Preparation of the Recipe:
4 c Sugar 1 T Butter
2 T Corn syrup Few grains salt
1 1/2 c Milk or cream
Combine sugar, cream, corn syrup, salt and the butter. Place over
heat and dissolve all sugar before boiling. Boil until soft ball
stage (230F). Place tight lid on and cool as fast as possible. Cool
thoroughly until cold to the touch. Take out of pan. Put fondant on
platter and beat with knife continously. It will be shiny and stiff
then become thinner and lose it's gloss. Continue beating until it
