Cooking Preparation of the Recipe:
4 Pork chops; 1 lb. 1/3 c Applesauce
2 tb Onion; finely chopped 1/4 ts Allspice, ground
1 tb Shortening 2 tb Almonds, slivered; toasted
16 oz Pork and beans with tom. sc.
Brown chops and cook onion in shortening until tender in heavy
skillet. Cover and cook over low heat for 30 minutes. Add beans,
applesauce, and allspice; cook, covered, 15 minutes or until the
chops are tender. Stir occasionally. Garnish with almonds.
