1 tb Olive oil
1 c Chopped onion
4 Cloves garlic, minced
5 1/2 c Chopped seeded tomato
1/4 c Chopped fresh basil
2 tb Chopped fresh oregano
1 ts Sugar
1/2 ts Salt
1/4 ts Pepper
Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add onion and
garlic; saute 3 minutes. Add remaining ingredients, and bring to a
boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat, and simmer 10 minutes,
stirring occasionally. Serve over pasta or polenta, or on crostini.
