3 lb Boneless round steak, 1-1/2 1 tb Worcestershire sauce
-to 1-3/4 inches thick 1 c Celery; chopped
1/2 c All-purpose flour 1/2 c Onions; chopped
2 tb Shortening 2 c Beef broth
1 ts Salt 1/2 c Catsup
1/4 ts Pepper 6 ea Whole cloves
Trim excess fat from steak; sprinkle flour evenly on both sides of
steak, and pound with a meat mallet.
Melt shortening in a large Dutch oven; brown steak on both sides.
Combine remaining ingredients, stirring well; pour over steak. Cover
and bake at 350 degrees for 2 to 2-1/2 hours or until tender, adding
more water if needed.
