Cooking Preparation of the Recipe:
2 c Sugar
2/3 c Milk
1/4 ts Salt
1 ts Vanilla
2 oz Unsweet. choc./ 1/3 c. cocoa
1 tb Corn syrup
2 tb Margarine
1/2 c Chopped nuts (oppt.)
Mix Sugar, Milk, Choc., Corn syrup and salt. Cookover medium heat
stirring constantly, til choc. is melted and sugar is dissolved.
Cook stirring occasionally to 234 degrees (until it forms a soft ball
in a cold cup of water). Remove from heat, add vanilla margarine.
Beat vigorous 5 to 10 min. with spoon until candy is thick no
longer glossy spread in buttered shallow dish.
