1/2 c milk 2 eggs 4 pcs sliced white bread 1 tbsp butter 2 pears 1/2 Lb Swiss cheese, grated
In a mixing bowl, beat together eggs and milk. Season with salt and pepper. Dip sliced bread in egg mixture for 4-5 minutes. Pan-fry in butter until golden brown on both sides. Set aside. Slice pears in half, remove seeds. Cut lengthwise into thin slices. Set aside. In an oven-proof tray, arrange bread on the center of the plate. Top with pear slices, then top generously with grated cheese. Broil using top heat until cheese melts. Garnish with mint leaves if desired. Serves 4
