Cooking Preparation of the Recipe:
3/4 c Maple syrup 1/2 ea Lemon -- juice of 1/2 lemon
1/2 c Packed brown sugar 1/2 ts Lemon peel -- grated
1/4 c Honey 1 tb Butter or margarine
1 ea Orange -- juice of one 1/2 ts Ground cinnamon
Orange 1/2 c Tart cherries -- dried
1 ts Orange peel -- grated Chopped
In a medium saucepan, combine the first seven ingredients. Bring to
boil over med. heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat and simmer 10
min. Add cherries. Cook for 2 min. Serve over cornmeal pancakes,
waffles or French toast. Yield: 1 1/2 cups.
