Cooking Preparation of the Recipe:
1 c Brown sugar
1/2 c Shortening
3/4 c Pumpkin
2 ts Mapleine flavoring
4 ts Baking powder
2 c Flour
1/2 c White sugar
2 Egg yolks or 1 egg
1/2 c Sour milk
1/4 ts Soda
1/2 ts Salt
2/3 c Chopped floured
Nuts
Cream sugar and shortening. Add other ingredients in order given.
Bake 1/2 hour at 350 in pan 6 1/2" x 11". Good without frosting
served warm, with apple cider.
