See below ingredients and instructions of the recipe
2 lb Fresh Polish sausage 1 lg Green pepper -- chopped
1 cn Sauerkraut -- 16oz rinsed 3 tb Brown sugar
Draine 1 Bay leaf
1 cn Omatoes -- 16oz w/ liquid, 1 ts Dried oregano
Cut 1/2 ts Salt
1 c Chopped celery 1/4 ts Pepper
1 lg Onion -- chopped Mashed potatoes, optional
Cut the sausage into 1-in. slices; saute in a Dutch oven until fully
cooked and browned. Drain. Add sauerkraut, tomatoes with liquid,
celery, onion, green pepper, brown sugar and seasonings; mix well.
Cover and simmer for 20-25 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
Remove bay leaf. Serve over mashed potatoes if desired. Yield: 8
servings.
