3 c Pecan halves 1 ts Ground cinnamon
2 tb Butter, melted 1/4 ts Ground cloves
1 Large egg white 1/4 ts Ground allspice
2 tb Sugar 1 1/2 ts Hot red-pepper sauce
1. Heat oven to 350'F. On large baking sheet, stir together pecans and
butter. Bake pecans 5 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned, Cool
pecans on baking sheet on wire rack 10 minutes.
2. In small bowl, combine egg white, sugar, cinnamon, cloves,
allspice, and pepper sauce; stir into browned pecans. Bake pecans 5
to 8 minutes longer, stirring occasionally, until spice mixture
hardens.
3. Cool pecans on sheet on wire rack to room temperature. Stir to
break up nuts, if necessary. Transfer to serving bowl.
