6 sl Bread, toasted 6 oz Jalapeno cheese, sliced
-Butter or margarine 6 Eggs, beaten
1 lb Hot breakfast or Italian 2 c Milk
-bulk sausage -Warmed tortillas, picante
12 oz Cheddar cheese, grated -sauce and sour cream
Toast bread. Trim crusts and butter each slice. Grease an 8x11-inch
baking pan. Place bread slices, buttered-side down, in pan.
Cook sausage, breaking it up as it cooks; drain. Spread sausage
evenly over bread slices. Top with grated cheddar cheese, then
slices of jalapeno cheese.
In large bowl, beat eggs and milk; pour mixture over cheese. Cover
and refrigerate overnight.
In the morning, preheat oven to 350 F. Keep mixture covered and bake
35 minutes. Remove cover and bake another 10 minutes, or until firm.
Remove from oven and let sit 10 minutes before serving. Serve with
warm tortillas, picante sauce and sour cream. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
