Cooking Preparation of the Recipe:
4 Turnips, peeled quartered 1/4 c Light cream
4 Potatoes, peeled quartered 2 tb Soft butter or margarine
2 tb Minced onion 1/2 ts Salt
1 ts Salt 1/8 ts Pepper
Water
In slow-cooking pot, combine turnips, potatoes, onion and 1 tsp. salt.
Cover with water. Cover pot and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or until
vegetables are tender. Drain well. Mash; add cream, butter, 1/2 tsp
salt
