1 1/2 lb Flank steak
1 Onion, thinly sliced
1 ts Fresh grated lemon peel
1/2 c Freshly squeezed lemon juice
2 tb Sugar
1/2 ts Salt
1/2 ts Oregano, crushed
1/8 ts Freshly ground black pepper
2 tb Soya sauce
1 tb Butter
Fat grams per serving: Approx. Cook Time: 10 mn Trim
any fat or membrane from the steak. With knife, score steak 1/8 inch
deep on both sides in diamond pattern. Layer 1/2 onions in plastic
bag or glass dish. Place steak on top of onions, cover with
remaining onion. Thoroughly combine remaining ingredients, except
butter and pour over steak, top with remaining onion. Marinate 2 - 3
hours or overnight in refrigerator or overnight, turning several
times. Remove steak from marinade, wipe partially dry with paper
towel. Drain onions and reserve. Place steak on cold broiler pan 3 -
5 inches from heat source. Broil 3 -5 minutes per side. Meanwhile
saute onions in butter until soft. To serve, cut steak across grain
