Cooking Preparation of the Recipe:

3 c Pumpkin; cooked and mashed 1/4 ts Ground mace
2 ea Eggs; beaten 1 ds Pepper
1/2 c Pecans; chopped 1/2 c Pecan halves
2 tb Sugar 1/2 c Brown sugar; firmly packed
2 tb Butter or margarine; melted 1/4 c Maple or maple-flavored
1/2 ts Salt -syrup

Combine first 8 ingredients, stirring well. Pour pumpkin mixture
into a lightly greased 1-1/2 quart casserole. Arrange pecan halves
on top of casserole.
Combine brown sugar and syrup in a small saucepan; cook, stirring
constantly, over medium heat until mixture reaches a boil. Cool
slightly. Spoon glaze evenly over casserole. Bake, uncovered, at 350
degrees F for 40 minutes. Yield: 6 servings.
