Cooking Preparation of the Recipe:
1 ea egg 1/4 ts baking soda
1 c brown sugar, packed 1/4 ts salt
1 1/2 ts vanilla 1 c walnuts, chopped (optional)
1/2 c flour
Oil an 8-inch square pan. Stir together egg, sugar and vanilla. Add
dry ingredients, then add walnuts. Spread in pan, and bake at 350
degrees for about 20 minutes; centers will be soft. Cool before
cutting into 2-inch squares. Makes 16 bars
