6 oz Fettuccine; uncooked 2 ts Parsley flakes, dried
1/4 c Butter (or marg.) 1/2 ts Garlic powder
2 tb Flour, all-purpose 1/2 ts Pepper; coarsely ground
1/2 c Half-and-half 1/2 ts Poppy seeds
1/2 c Water 1/4 ts Salt
1/2 c Cheese, Parmesan; grated
Cook fettuccine according to package directions, omitting salt; drain
and set aside.
Melt butter in a heavy saucepan over low heat; add flour, stirring
until smooth. Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Gradually add
half-and-half and water; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly,
until mixture is thickened and bubbly.
Stir in cheese and remaining ingredients. Toss with fettuccine. Serve
immediately.
