Cooking Preparation of the Recipe:
1 Family cake recipe
1/3 c Brown sugar -- packed
1 tb Cocoa -- (1 to 2)
1 tb Milk
1/2 c Nuts -- coarse chop
1 tb Shortening
Bake family cake as recipe directs (recipe in this group of recipes)
Combine remaining ingredients in order shown. After cake has cooled
slightly, spread with cocoa mixture. Place in broiler with surface of
cake about 4 inches from heat source. Broil until frosting bubbles.
WATCH CAREFULLY to avoid scorching. Yield: One 8-inch square cake
