24 ea Spanish onions, sliced

--------------------BRINE: 2 CUPS WATER-------------------------
2 c Vinegar
3 c Sugar

--------------------------DRESSING-------------------------------
6 c Mayonnaise
1/4 c Celery or caraway seed
Salt and pepper to taste

In a large glass or plastic container, place sliced onions. Cover
onions with brine and cover container. Refrigerate overnight. Drain
well. Combine dressing ingredients. Pour over onions and mix well.
Cover and refrigerate until needed. Can be made 1-2 days ahead and
