2 1/2 c Semisweet chocolate chips 1 Egg
2 oz Unsweetened chocolate square 1 ts Vanilla extract
-- broken up 2/3 c Flour
3 tb Vegetable shortening, solid 1/2 ts Baking powder
1/2 c Sugar 1 c Walnuts; chopped
3 tb Light corn syrup

Preparation Time: 0:30 1. Preheat oven to 350 F. In a 2-qt glass
bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips, unsweetened chocolate, and
shortening. Heat in microwave on High about 1 1/2 min, or until
melted and smooth when stirred. Let cool slightly. 2. Add sugar, corn
syrup, egg, and vanilla; blend well. Mix in flour and baking powder.
Stir in remaining 1 cup chocolate chips and nuts. 3. Drop dough by
round teaspoonfuls (or use a small ice cream scoop) 1 1/2 inches
apart onto lightly greased cookie sheets. With finger tips, flatten
tops slightly. 4. Bake 10 to 12 mins. Let cookies cool on pans 5
mins, then remove to wire racks to cool completely.
