2 large onions, sliced
1-1/2 pounds lamb, cut into 1-1/2 inch square
cubes
3 to
4 tbsp. oil
1/2 oz. ginger, grated
3 cloves garlic
1 tbsp. paprika
1 tbsp. cayenne
1 tsp. cumin powder
2 large tomatoes, quartered
1/2 cup water
salt and pepper
1 tsp. Garam Masala
Saute the onions slightly. Then add the pieces of lamb to the oil, along with the ginger, paprika, cayenne and cumin powder; saute until the onions are brown and all sides of the meat seared. Drain excess oil.
Add the quartered tomatoes and the water. Cook over slow fire until done, about 20 minutes. Salt and pepper to taste.
Before serving, sprinkle with a little Garam Masala.
