2 ts Toasted sesame seeds 1/2 c Water
1/4 c Soy sauce 1 1/2 lb Pickerel or other fillets
2 ts Vinegar 2 ts Cornstarch
2 ts Minced fresh ginger root 2 Green onions, chopped
1/2 ts Sugar
In a mortar, grind sesame seeds. Brush sesame powder into a small
sauce pan and add soy sauce, vinegar, ginger, sugar and water and mix
together. Brush both sides of fish with some of the sauce. Broil
about 5 minutes, or until fish flakes easily when tested with a fork.
Meanwhile, blend cornstarch with the remaining mixture in the
saucepan. Bring to boil; cook and stir until sauce thickens. Just
before serving, spoon sauce over cooked fish. Sprinkle with chopped
