Cooking Preparation of the Recipe:

4 tb BUTTER
2 c FLOUR
2 tb SUGAR
4 ts BAKING POWDER
1 ts SALT
2 ea EGG
2 c MILK
4 tb OIL

MELT BUTTER. COMBINE FLOUR, SUGAR, BAKING POWDER AND SALT. BEAT
TOGETHER MELTED BUTTER, MILK AND EGG. STIR WET INGREDIENTS INTO DRY
MIX UNTIL JUST COMBINED. IT'S ALL RIGHT IF THE BATTER IS STILL LUMPY.
HEAT A LARGE FRY PAN OR GRIDDLE. BRUSH PAN WITH SOME OIL. POUR BATTER
BY SCANT 1/4 CUPFULS ONTO HOT PAN. COOK UNTIL BUBBLES BREAK, THEN
TURN OVER AND COOK UNTIL UNDERSIDE IS GOLDEN. REPEAT WITH REMAINING
BATTER, BRUSHING PAN WITH OIL AS NEEDED.
