Cooking Preparation of the Recipe:
1 c Sugar
1/2 c Butter or margarine
3 Eggs beaten
1 ts Rum flavor
1 ts Vanilla flavor
1 1/2 c Flour
1/2 ts Black pepper
1/2 ts Salt
1 c Dates chopped
1 c Walnuts chopped
Cream butter and sugar fluffy. Beat in eggs and flavorings. Mix
together, flour, pepper and salt. Blend flour mixture into creamed
mixture. Mix in dates and nuts. Pour into a greased 8 x 8 inch pan.
Bake 275 ( correct ) 45 minutes or tested done.Sift with
confectioners sugar while warm.
