Cooking Preparation of the Recipe:

1 lb Lean ground beef 1/2 ts Ground cumin
1/2 Onion, chopped Salt pepper to taste
16 oz Kidney beans (soaked 8 oz Tomato paste,
-overnight in water to cover -=OR=-
-beans completely, then 1 c Homemade
-drained) 1 c Water
4 Tomatoes, diced 1 To 2 jalapeno peppers,
3 1/2 ts Chili powder -chopped, or to taste
1 ts Oregano

Brown beef in skillet, add onion. Drain off fat when meat is completely
cooked. Add beans, (*all but 2-1/2 cups) tomatoes, spices, sauce, water,
and chopped jalapenos, if desired. Simmer 45 minutes, or until chili is
desired consistency.

*Extra beans left over can be used for other dish.
