-COOKIES----------
1/2 c Butter -- softened
1 c Sugar
1 Egg
1/4 c Milk
1 ts Vanilla
1 3/4 c Flour
1/3 c Baking cocoa
1/2 ts Baking soda
1/2 ts Salt
MIX ABOVE TOGETHER; SET
ASIDE
24 lg Marshmallows -- cut in half
Pecan halves -- optional
-ICING---------
1/4 c Butter
1 1/2 tb Baking cocoa
3 tb Milk
1 c Confectioners sugar
1/2 ts Vanilla
BAKE: 350
COOKIES
Cream butter and sugar. Add egg, milk and vanilla; mix well. Stir
mixed dry ingredients into creamed mixture. Drop by rounded
teaspoonful = onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 9 mins. Remove from
oven and press a marshmallow half, cut side down, onto each cookie.
Return to oven for 3 mins. Cool completely.
ICING
Combine butter, cocoa and milk in saucepan. Bring to a boil; boil
for 1 minute, stirring constantly. Cool slightly, transfer to a
small mixing bowl. Add confectioners sugar and vanilla, beat well.
Drizzle/spoon over the cooled cookies. Top each with a pecan half, if
desired.
Yield: 3 to 3-1/2 dz. cookies.
