Cooking Preparation of the Recipe:
2 c White sugar
1 ts Cinnamon
1 ts Cloves
1 ts Nutmeg
2 tb Shortening
1 lb Seeded raisins
2 c Cold water
-------ADD-----------------
3 c Flour
1 ts Soda
1 x Pinch salt
1 ts Vanilla
1 x Cherries and nuts
1 x Mixed dried peel (optional)
Boil and stir for 5 minutes the sugar, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg,
shortening, raisins and water. Let cool and then add the remaining
ingredients. Next pour into large well greased and floured tube pan.
Bake at 375* for 1 1/2 hours.
