3 tb Soy sauce, divided 1/4 ts Hot red pepper flakes
1 1/2 tb Brown sugar, divided 4 c Chinese cabbage, or Iceberg
2 tb Water -lettuce, shredded
3/4 lb Beef top round steak, in 1 1/2 c Carrots, coarsley grated
-strips 2 1/4 x 1/4-inch 1 c Green onions, thinly sliced
2 tb Seasoned rice vinegar 1 c Spaghetti, cooked
1 tb Lemon juice 1/4 c Cilantro, fresh, loosely
1 lg Garlic clove, minced -packed
1 ts Toasted Oriental sesame oil
Combine 1 tablespoon soy sauce, 1 tablespoon brown sugar, and water;
pour over beef. Marinate beef 30 minutes. Drain beef, discarding
marinade. In a non-stick skillet, stir-fry beef over high heat until
browned, about 3 minutes. Remove from pan; cool to room temperature.
Mix remaining 2 tablespoon soy sauce and remaining 1/2 tablespoon
brown sugar with vinegar, lemon juice, garlic, sesame oil and red
pepper. Combine beef with remaining ingredients. Pour on reserved
dressing and toss.
