3 lb Very lean ground pork
2 sm Onions, finely chopped
1 ts Salt
1 ts Sage or mixture of 1
Teaspoon
Savory, 1/2 teaspoon pepper
And 1/4
To 1/2 teaspoon ground
Cloves
1/2 c Water
Pastry for 2 9-inch, 2-crust
Pies
Method: Simmer pork, onions, salt, herb(s) and water about 25 minutes.
Cool.
Line 2 9-inch pie pans with pastry. Turn pork mixture into pans.
Cover each with pastry. Bake at 450øF for 15 minutes. Reduce
temperature to 350F and bake 5 to 10 minutes longer, till pastry is
