Cooking Preparation of the Recipe:

1 lg Onions, sweet 4 tb Vinegar
1/2 c Water 4 tb Mayonnaise, eggless
4 tb Sugar 1/2 ts Salt, celery

Thinly slice onions. Combine onions, water, sugar, and vinegar;
marinate overnight.

Before serving, drain and pat dry. Toss with mayonnaise and salt.
Serve on party rye.
