Cooking Preparation of the Recipe:

1 lb Navy beans -SOUP:
1 lb Great Horthern beans 1 pk Bean soup mix
1 lb Pinto beans 2 qt Water
1 lb Red beans 1 Ham hock
1 lb Fried soybeans 1 1/4 ts Salt
1 lb Yellow split peas 1/2 ts Pepper
1 lb Green split peas 1 lg Onion, chopped
1 lb Black eyed peas 1/4 ts Chili powder
1 lb Dried lentils 16 oz Can tomatoes
1 lb Dried lima beans 1 Clove garlic, minced
1 lb Dried baby lima beans 3 tb Lemon juice
1 lb Pearl barley

Mix: Use 2 cup portions for soup mix packets. Store in an airtight
container.

World's Best Bean Soup: Rinse beans. Soak overnight in cold water to
cover. Drain, mix with water, ham hock, salt and pepper. Bring to a
boil; reduce heat, cover and simmer until beans are tender, about 1
1/2 hours. Add remaining ingredients; simmer 30 minutes. Remove ham
