1/2 c Butter 1/2 ts Baking soda
1/4 c Shortening ***filling***
1 c Brown sugar 4 1/2 c Apples; peeled, chopped
1 3/4 c Flour 3 tb Flour
1 c Quick oatmeal 1 pk Caramel candy
1 ts Salt 3 tb Butter
Recipe by: Sue Klapper Preparation Time: 0:30 Heat oven to 400. Cream
butter, shortening and brown sugar until fluffy. well. Set aside 2
cups. Press remaining mixture into bottom of 9 x 13 pan apples. Top
with reserved oat mixture. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until lig
