18 Apples, Golden delicious,
Peeled, cored and quartered
1 1/2 c Apple cider
2 Cinnamon sticks
1 ts Ginger
1/2 ts Nutmeg
1/4 ts Cloves
1/4 Mace
1 1/4 c Sugar
2 tb Lemon juice
Place all in pot. Cook for 2 1/2 hours, mashing apples occasionally,
until color turns deep brown.
