Cooking Preparation of the Recipe:

4 c Sugar Nuts
2 c Milk Butter; size of walnut
1 lb Chopped dates

Cook sugar, milk and butter until it forms a soft ball when tested in
cold water. Add vanilla and dates. Return to fire and let boil up,
being careful not to burn. Add nuts and cool slightly and beat into
a creamy mass. Put on a damp cloth and roll into a long roll. Wrap
in cloth and let cool. Cut into slices.
