Cooking Preparation of the Recipe:

2 Eggs -- beaten 4 ts Baking powder
1 c Sugar 1/2 ts Baking soda
2 tb Oil 1 ts Nutmeg
1/2 c Buttermilk 1/2 ts Cinnamon
1 c Pumpkin, canned 1/4 ts Ground ginger
4 c Flour Sugar for coating
2 ts Salt

Beat eggs and sugar until light and fluffy. Add oil,
pumpkin and buttermilk.

Mix dry ingredients together and add to egg mixture.
Chill 1 hour.

Turn out on floured board and roll to 1/2 inch thickness.
Cut with a doughnut cutter.

Deep fry (375-degrees) until brown on one side. Turn over.
Brown other side. Drain well on paper towels and roll in
sugar.
