Cooking Preparation of the Recipe:

2 Eggs, beaten 1 1/2 c Flour
1 c Milk, scant 3 ts Baking powder
1 tb Melted shortening 1/2 ts Salt

Combine milk, eggs and shortening. Sift flour, powder and salt twice.
Add milk and beat 2 minutes. Pour into hot muffin tins and bake 20
minutes in a hot oven. Serve hot with butter. Many of the recipes in
this collection did not contain amounts or oven temperatures. I have
typed them in as they appear in the book, typos and all.
