Cooking Preparation of the Recipe:
3 md Oranges 1 c Sugar
3 md Pears; cored and sliced 1 c Rum
1 c Maraschino cherries
Peel, section and cut up oranges over bowl to catch juice. In
non-metal container combine oranges, pears and cherries. Stir in
sugar, add juice from oranges and rum. Cover and refrigerate for 2
weeks. Serve as compote or as topping for ice cream. Source: A slip
