1 1/2 c All-purpose flour 2 c Peanut butter chips
1/2 c Packed brown sugar 2/3 c Corn syrup
3/4 c Butter or margarine -- 2 ts Vanilla extract
Divided optional 2 c Crispy rice cereal
3 c Miniature marshmallows 2 c Peanuts -- salted
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, brown sugar and 1/2 cup butter; mix
well. Press into an ungreased 13x9x2 inch baking pan. Bake at 350
deg. for 12 to 15 min. or until lightly browned. Sprinkle
marshmallows over top and return to the oven for 3 to 5 min. or until
marshmallows begin to melt; set aside. In a large saucepan, cook and
stir peanut butter chips, corn syrup, vanilla and remaining butter
until chips are melted and smooth. Remove from the heat; stir in
cereal and peanuts. Pour over prepared crust, spreading to cover.
Cool before cutting into bars. Yield: about 2 dozen.
