1 md Onion, sliced 1 Bay leaf
2 cl Garlic, minced 1 ts Low sodium soy sauce
2 c Chicken stock 1 1/2 ts Dried thyme
1 1/2 tb Cornstarch 1/4 c Dry sherry
1 cn (8oz) chopped tomatoes, 2 tb Tomato paste, no salt added
Drained, no salt added
-------------------------MEATBALLS------------------------------
1 lb Ground turkey 1/2 ts Dried thyme
2 sl Whole wheat bread, torn 1/2 ts Dried basil
1/4 c Whole wheat bread crumbs 1/4 c Chicken stock
1 ts Onion powder 1/4 c Tomato sauce
1 ts Garlic powder ds Pepper
1 ts Low sodium soy sauce 1/2 md Onion, minced
1 Egg white
Saute onion and garlic until soft in a bit of stock. Combine
cornstarch and 2 tablespoons stock and set aside until needed.
Combine garlic and onion with the rest of the sauce ingredients and
bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer over low heat 5-7 minutes.
Stir in the cornstarch and cook until thickened, stirring. Combine
meatball ingredients and cook in sauce 30-45 minutes until done.
