6 Apples 1/4 c Apricot preserves
-(at least 3 varieties) -pref sugar-free
-peeled, cored 1/4 c Apple juice
-cut into quarters 2 tb Calvados (apple brandy)
1/2 c Raisins -omit if unavailable
1 ts Ground cinnamon
Put the apples raisins, cinnamon, preserves, and Calvados into a
heavy pot with a lid. cook over low heat until the apples are soft,
20-30 minutes. Serve warm, at room temperature, or cold.
Refrigerate for up to 3 weeks. Return to room temperature before
serving.
