1/4 c Reserved fried chicken 2 c Milk
-drippings or 1/2 ts Salt
Vegetable oil 1/4 ts Pepper
1/4 c Self-rising flour
Fry chicken in a cast-iron skillet, then measure out and pour 1/4 cup
drippings back into the skillet.
Combine drippings and flour in heavy skillet and cook over medium heat
until color is pale brown. Stir in milk, salt and pepper; cook until
thickened, stirring constantly. Serve over biscuits, mashed potatoes,
rice, and fried chicken.
