2 c All-purpose flour 1/2 ts Baking soda
2 c (11 1/2 oz pkg) Nestle Toll 1/2 ts Salt
-House Milk Chocolate 1/2 c Chopped candied cherries
-Morsels, divided -maraschino cherries OR
1/4 c Light brown sugar; firmly -raisins
-packed 3/4 c Milk
1/4 c Granulated sugar 1/3 c Vegetable oil
2 ts Baking powder 1 Egg
In large bowl, combine flour, 1 3/4 cups morsels, brown sugar,
granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Stir in
cherries. In small bowl, combine milk, oil and egg until well
blended. Add liquid ingredients to dry ingredients; stir just until
moistened. Spoon batter into 12 greased or paper-lined muffing cups;
muffin cups will be full. Sprinkle with *remaining* 1/4 cup morsels.
Bake in preheated 375F oven for 18 to 20 minutes or until golden.
Cool for 5 minutes. Remove from pan; serve warm, or cool completely
on wire rack.
