See below ingredients and instructions of the recipe
1 1/2 c Onion; finely chopped 2 1/2 c Milk
1/4 c Celery; finely diced 1 ts Salt
1 c Water; boiling 1/4 ts Sugar
1/2 ts Salt 1/8 ts Pepper
3 tb Butter (or marg.) 1/8 ts Nutmeg, ground
3 tb Flour, all-purpose
Combine onion, celery, water, and salt; cook in a covered saucepan
unitl vegetables are tender. Put vegetable mixture through a coarse
sieve, or puree in a blender for 1 minutes.
Melt butter in a saucepan; add flour and stir unitl blended.
Gradually stir in milk; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly,
until slightly thickened. Add salt, sugar, pepper, and vegetable
puree. Heat and serve. Sprinkle nutmeg over each serving.
